So I didn't get change. So I'm going to be here in Tarapoto for another 6 weeks and then 100% I'm goimg to leave my area.  I'm with the same companion and everything.  It's going to be another great change with my companion.  This change we have big plans to work with the great people God has given us to teach we are praying that 4 of them will be baptised in the next 5 weeks. This last week I tried to pray in English and I couldn't... so I can't speak English any more!  I hope everyone learns Spanish so I can talk with you. una semana mas en paraíso - one more week in paradise Photos from Zone Conference Elder Porowski

Semana 62 - #ME QUEDO O ME VOY? - Should I stay or should I go?

So tonight I might receive a call to be changed to a different part of the mission, but I don't know so next week I might be in Tarapoto or I might be in a different part. This week there weren't a lot of people who wanted to listen to the invitation that Christ makes to everyone to come follow Him. It was a little hard because everyone that we had scheduled to visit weren't home. That was annoying.   Something that really made me realize that even though I might have a rough week I'm a big difference in the life of someone else even if I don't feel like I am. We had a lesson last night and the girl we were teaching told us how much peace we bring to her life and that she is eternally grateful that we knocked on her door to teach her the gospel.  She cried telling us how much she has seen the blessings in her life of me and my companion visiting her and teaching her about the true gospel of Christ. I know that we all have big impacts on the people ...

Semana 61 - #CONFERENCIAGENERAL - General Conference

This last weekend I had the opportunity to listen to the prophets voice and the voices of the 12 living apostles.  A big topic that they shared was that the time of the second coming of Christ is coming quick and that all men MUST be baptised in the true church of Christ or they can not be saved, and for those who are members of the church REPENT.  Repentance is something that many people see as a punishment and they are fundamentally wrong. Christ came to the world and was crucified so that us, the children of God, could repent and qualify to be cleansed by the atonement of Christ.  Those who chose not to or reject this gift from God: repentance, cannot and will not be redeemed by the saving power of Christ.  The starting point for most is to have faith in Jesus Christ; that he can really forgive your sins, and once you have faith in Him, Christ can start to heal your soul.  You can change and qualify to be cleansed by the atonement.  If these words are ...

Semana 60 - BAUTISMOS - Baptisms

This week my companion and I baptised the joven Cesar. It was really special to see him get baptised because he always comes to church and everyone at church was so happy to see him get baptised.   I got to baptise him and it was super special to see the joy in his eyes; to finally be baptised in the church that he has known is the true church for so long. I know that the church that I'm serving is the true church of God because it is founded upon the same foundations that Christ taught when he was here on the earth; founded upon prophets and apostles.  I also know that because the Holy Ghost has confirmed that truth to my soul. I'd like to ask you of which church has this foundation of prophets and apostles? Una semana mas en paraiso - one more week in paradise Elder Porowski

Semana 59 CANSANCIO - Fatigue

I was super tired this week.  This week to help a young man get baptised for this coming Saturday, me and my companion got up at 5 am to teach him.  We did that like 3 times this week and that made us super tired.  We are super good, working hard and laughing lots.  Everything is awesome here in the jungle. Tarapoto this time of the year is starting to be summer so it's getting a lot hotter these days.  una semana más en paraíso - one more week in paradise Elder Porowski
