Semana 34 - MI COMPAÑERO SE CAYÓ - My Companion Fell

So my comp fell off a super sketchy bridge! We were walking along this bridge that really was only as big as a 2 x 6.  We were walking on this bridge because we saw a community that was all on stilts.  In the middle of this bridge a part of the bridge had broken so we were looking around to find another way to get to this community.  Out of nowhere my comp fell like 7 feet to where the ground was. Yes I did laugh before helping him. It took 15 min to find a way for him to get back on the bridge.  The members in my area are literally  the  best.  This week my comp was sick as well so the members really helped us out by one member staying with my comp and another going out to teach with me. I have some investigators named Zulema and Cinthia that are getting baptised this Saturday.  Wow they love Christ and His church!   They are so ready to be baptised.  I also heard this week that 3 people I left in Pucallpa got baptised ...

Semana 33 - THE OFFICE

So this week felt like another week in the office. My companion and I really saw the hand of the Lord in our work this week.   There were a lot of people that we met this week and wow they are all awesome!! I can't wait to teach them.  Other than that our week was pretty normal. I love the jungle and the people.  I  couldn't be a happier camper. ¡cuídese todos les extraño mucho! (Look out! I miss you so much!) hoy día es como cada día aquí en la selva paraiso (Today is like everyday here in the jungle paradise) Elder Porowski

Semana 32 LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION!!

So lots of things happened this week, First off my comp and I testified against this guy who was bashing the church and wow, I have never felt the spirit so strong in my life, confirming what I was doing and saying was right. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church of Christ and that He personally leads this church through the prophet who lives today, Russell M Nelson. Another thing that happened was that my comp and I did a lot of service. First we helped one of the families that we are visiting move a huge mountain of sand into their house.  Saturday my zone helped the community clean and widen one of their open sewage stream/river things.  It was gross but I was happy to help. Last but not least there was a house on fire in the little suburb where I live. I found this out when I heard screams in the streets and the other elder that I live with came into the house screaming FIRE!! So I put my shoes on and got to work. Firs...
