Hey Everyone!

This first week has been quite the roller coaster! When I flew out on the 9th I took the whole trip alone until I landed in Lima, where there was a group of 15 other missionaries! I landed in Lima at 12:35 am Lima time so about 9:35 pm in Vancouver. I didn't get to the MTC (Missionary Training Center) or as they call it the CCM till 3:30 am but not in bed till 4:30 am. Then we had to get up at 8:30 am to have a full day of Spanish thrown at us.  We had to start TEACHING lessons IN SPANISH our second day!
I'm rooming with 3 other elders named Elder Anderson, Hirishi, and Rosales.  They are all pretty cool.
The next 2 days felt like they had no end because they are teaching 2 different concepts between morning and night. An analogy that has been made is that we are drinking from a fire hydrant, it definitely feels like I am!

Take a big drink!
On Saturday I learned how to pray in Spanish. That is one of the only things I have retained and am confident in doing right now.
Sunday was awesome.  It was a super spiritual experience the whole day.  Sunday is definitely the best day of the week.
Tuesday I went to Interpol to get a visa. I have never been been more confused in my life. Myself and the other missionaries sat down in a room and were given an important piece of paper with Spanish instructions,  the man who gave us the paper started telling us what to do in Spanish. I struggled through it and it turned out fine.

It seems like there are no traffic laws here because everyone  just turns, stops, and changes lanes whenever they want. It hasn't been as hot as I was expecting but still warm.
Wednesdays are the days I can email so expect responses and updates next week!!
