Week 17/104
Happy Mother's Day,
This week I was looking forward to skyping with my family on Mother's Day. It was a great to see their faces after 4 months. Hope everyone
did something nice for Mother's Day.
So things that happened this week were:
1. On Tuesday a stray kitten
wandered into our apartment and chilled for the morning. We had to put it back
outside because as missionaries we cant keep pets.
2. I tried mate this week. It's
this herbal tea thing, I don't really know how to describe it but I know that
depending on who you ask it either tastes like dirt or not like dirt. I thought
it tasted pretty good, but the person who gave it to me did put a bunch of sugar in it, pero esta bien (but it's ok).
3. I also figured out that there is a highway that goes
through the town of Pucallpa, where I am currently, all the way to Lima. I thought that was pretty cool.
4. This week for missionary work my companion and I knocked
doors to find new people. We found a couple families to teach. One
family is really humble and open to our message and want to hear more. The
other family has had things happen in their life that have prompted them to go
to church and be more spiritual. It was really great to find these families; they are truly sent by God.
One Christ like attribute that I have been thinking about
this week is humility. The Savior was humble and His whole life was centered in
doing the will of the father.
I hope everyone has a great week and is in good spirits.
cuídese todo Take care of everything.
